We are currently seeking a Wealth Associate in our Saint John office to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the administrative and compliance functions of the Advisor’s practice. You will work closely with external and internal partners to ensure we are providing the best service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Direct administrative support to the Wealth Management Advisor (Advisor)
Preparation of documents for client meetings
The completion of post-meeting commitments, such as the execution of investment trades
Ensuring the Advisor’s practice is compliant
Executing transactions as requested by clients
Responding to all client service enquiries, as well as those from client’s other professional partners
Tracking information for Advisor’s business plan
Working in a team environment to ensure best practices and balanced workflow
Desired Skills and Experience:
Post-Secondary degree/diploma in Business, Finance or Administration or an acceptable combination of education and relevant work experience
Investment or insurance industry experience is a strong asset
Willing to pursue securities licenses and desire to grow and expand capabilities and responsibilities
High performer with high attention to detail
Ability to take initiative and a pro-active approach to work
Strong proficiency in Excel and Word
Takes ownership for outcomes and follows up until an issue is concluded
Is professional when responding to client service enquiries and can confidently interact with other professional advisors such as accountants and lawyers
Works well in a team environment and is committed to best practices
Understands and recognizes priorities, deadlines, and has a sense of urgency
Strong oral and written communication skills
Exceptional planning, organizational and time management skills
Previous experience in handling confidential or sensitive information with integrity
