We are currently recruiting Financial Analysts in our Saint John, Moncton, Halifax, and Toronto offices, to join our growing team. In this role you will work with Wealth Management Advisors to create complex financial solutions for clients giving you an opportunity to display your complex analytical, tax, planning and problem-solving skills in a well respected and innovative wealth management firm. Reporting to the Director of Tax & Estate Planning, the selected individuals will be provided with strong mentorship and long-term opportunities to grow their career in the wealth management industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare complex and customized financial plans for clients including Income Plans, Estate Plans and Savings Plans
Summarize legal documents, such as wills, family trusts, and shareholder agreements; present them to clients and help them understand
Research complex issues related to taxation, estate planning, financial planning and investment products, such as managed funds, stocks etc.
Create Excel spreadsheets and tools with Macros and manage our Excel tools by updating them for tax changes
Lead financial statement analysis and read personal, corporate and trust tax returns
Assist in data analysis and participate in case discussions
Serve as a technical resource and SME for advisors, associates and administrative staff
Able to add value by actively participating in meetings, taking file notes, and completing tasks resulting from meetings without delay
Expand your tasks and level of responsibility based on experience and skill level
Qualifications
University degree or diploma in accounting, finance, or similar field; combination of education and relevant work experience may be considered
Pursuing or interest in pursuing CPA, CFA and or CFP designations
Experience conducting, and genuine interest in, taxation, estate and financial planning and analysis
Strong proficiency in Excel and Word
Exceptional communication skills, verbal and written
Exceptional planning, organizational and time management skills
Previous experience in handling confidential or sensitive information with integrity
High attention to detail and accuracy
Understands and recognizes priorities, deadlines and has a sense of urgency
Desire to grow and expand capabilities and responsibilities
A self-starter and ability to work well independently and with others
A broad technical knowledge of financial products would be considered a significant asset
A proficiency in various reporting and presentation tools would be considered an asset
